{"id":3539,"date":"2011-10-26T09:23:28","date_gmt":"2011-10-26T16:23:28","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/nocapx2020.info\/?p=3539"},"modified":"2011-10-26T09:31:01","modified_gmt":"2011-10-26T16:31:01","slug":"oronoco-township-responds-to-xcels-slap-down","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/nocapx2020.info\/?p=3539","title":{"rendered":"Oronoco Township responds to Xcel&#8217;s slap down"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><a href=\"https:\/\/nocapx2020.info\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/10\/bitchfight3.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-3540\" title=\"bitchfight3\" src=\"https:\/\/nocapx2020.info\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/10\/bitchfight3.jpg\" alt=\"bitchfight3\" width=\"268\" height=\"188\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>It continues&#8230; First was Oronoco Township&#8217;s Reply Brief:<\/p>\n<blockquote><p><a href=\"https:\/\/nocapx2020.info\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/10\/replybrief.pdf\">Oronoco Township &#8220;Reply&#8221; Brief<\/a><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>Then Xcel Energy&#8217;s response to that in a letter to Judge Sheehy:<\/p>\n<blockquote><p><a href=\"https:\/\/nocapx2020.info\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/10\/letterreoronocoreplybrief.pdf\">Xcel Letter re: Oronoco Reply Brief<\/a><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>And now, drumroll here:<\/p>\n<blockquote><p><a href=\"https:\/\/nocapx2020.info\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/10\/letter2sheehy201110-67701-01.pdf\">Oronoco Township letter to Judge Sheehy<\/a><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>The whole thing is bizarre.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/nocapx2020.info\/wp-content\/uploads\/2009\/02\/chimp_scratching_head.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-503\" title=\"chimp_scratching_head\" src=\"https:\/\/nocapx2020.info\/wp-content\/uploads\/2009\/02\/chimp_scratching_head.jpg\" alt=\"chimp_scratching_head\" width=\"124\" height=\"122\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>They&#8217;re arguing that the numbers of houses, parcels, affected whatevers that they came up with in their reply breif, without citation to anything in the record, well, they&#8217;re saying that &#8220;if we were standing before Your Honor with the sheet maps in the FEIS and arguing this case, we could point out the same information that was in our final argument.&#8221;\u00c2\u00a0 Ummmmmm, they WERE standing before her.\u00c2\u00a0 EH??<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li>They didn&#8217;t have a handle on the costs and didn&#8217;t know where to find it.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li>They&#8217;d originally claimed a fall-down distance of 340 feet!\u00c2\u00a0 And when challenged on that, their response is:<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<blockquote><p><em>Our error was not realizing the poles can be as tall as 185 feet, so we actually understated the fall distance, which is really 370 feet, or 30 feet more than we argued.<\/em><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<blockquote><p>WTF?\u00c2\u00a0 Fall down distance of 370 feet?
