Xcel Peak Demand is again DOWN!\u00c2\u00a0 There&#8217;s a trend, and it&#8217;s called decreased demand.\u00c2\u00a0 Demand has yet to exceed the 2007 peak, and now it&#8217;s 8 years&#8230;<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/legalectric.org\/f\/2016\/02\/XcelPeakDemand2000-2015.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter wp-image-13731\" src=\"https:\/\/legalectric.org\/f\/2016\/02\/XcelPeakDemand2000-2015.jpg\" alt=\"XcelPeakDemand2000-2015\" width=\"428\" height=\"233\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Here&#8217;s the Xcel Energy SEC 10-K filed a couple days ago:<\/p>\n<blockquote><p><span style=\"color: #ccffcc;\"><strong><a style=\"color: #ccffcc;\" href=\"http:\/\/www.snl.com\/Cache\/c33026379.html\">2015 &#8211; Xcel Energy 10-K<\/a><\/strong><\/span><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>Is it any wonder they want to get away from a cost based rate a la their &#8220;e21 Initiative&#8221; scheme?\u00c2\u00a0 Particularly now that the bill for CapX 2020 is coming due and their newest rate case (PUC Docket GR-15-826) is now underway?<\/p>\n<p>And the specifics, and note how they inexplicably forecast a 2016 peak of 9,327, which is based on a &#8220;normal weather conditions&#8221;
